Job Transition Coach #13-27

BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, perform a variety of duties in support of employment placement and vocational development of special education students to enhance school to career awareness and transition; provide job coaching, training and information to special education students; assist students with developing vocational, employability and job searching skills; provide support and positive role modeling for special education students in work experience jobs. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and two years experience working with individuals in a vocational, instructional or related environment including some experience with individuals with special needs.

There are currently two vacancies located at our Harper-STEP program which is a part of the Special Education Department (working 6 hours per day, 5 days per week, 10 months per year).
