Systems Engineering Project Manager
We are looking to hire a project manager to join our team to manage a complex portfolio of highly interdependent projects supporting the Distributed Energy Management Systems application portfolio multiyear program.
•Demonstrated project management skills.
•Strong communication and vendor management skills.
•Ability to track tasks and deliverables and updates to management.
•General knowledge of, and familiarity with, Power Engineering Tools, the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and vendor management.
•Ability to follow-up with vendors and other third parties for technical support and escalate issues, as needed.
•5-10 years of relevant work experience, at least three of which in a strategy or project management role, with gradually increasing responsibilities and a track record of high performance.
This role requires strong task management skills, good working knowledge within one or more technology areas, and the ability to work and communicate with numerous internal and external business units. The role directly supports the advancement of the goals of REV (Reforming the Energy Vision) and aligns with the Company's long-term strategic interests including applications platform feature enhancement to integrate distributed resources into our x grid.
Duties will include:
•Manage capital projects, many with interdependencies to projects across other portfolios
•Participate in and report out on project status including timelines, risks and issues (RAID), budget (if applicable) and resources
•Support leadership to strengthen collaboration, prioritization and execution
•Review, analyze and document existing processes and policies, providing recommendations to streamline processes.
•Independently plan and manage select key projects from inception to completion - these will typically be projects which are highly cross-functional or which are particularly sensitive.
•Oversee the planning and management of meetings, both regular and ad hoc, including agenda development and ensuring effective facilitation and follow-up.
•Prioritize and balance multiple priorities and projects
Other:
• PMP certification preferred
•Experience in the Utility industry preferred, particularly in the area of technology planning, roadmap development and management of large-scale system delivery projects (vendor or in house) preferred.
•Familiarity with Electrical Distribution System preferred.
•Ability to proactively identify challenges and develop creative solutions, in close collaboration with key stakeholders.
•Excellent judgment, tact, initiative, critical thinking, problem solving, organizational skills, and self-motivation.
