JMPS Specialist, Johnson Matthey, Inc., Wayne, PA:

Support the development of the patented Johnson Matthey Production System (JMPS) to ensure a comprehensive toolkit is available for deployment. Support the implementation of JMPS at a Plant according to a defined implementation plan. Ensure that best practice is sought for, and captured in, the production system toolkit. Ensure that JMPS is able to be used for self-service, with practical and easily understandable tools that can be both easily taught and easily learned. Identify areas of strength and weakness within the plan deployment to ensure the right level of support is provided. Train the teams to use the JMPS tools and coach teams on how to use them to drive performance continuously. Ensure best practice is captured and shared across the CA plants. Act as a role model for the coaching culture development and engage successfully at all levels of the organisation to improve coaching. Operate within highly complex manufacturing site, multiple shifts, lines, and products. Direct multiple discipline teams both directly and indirectly.

Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Management or other related Operational Engineering field and 2 years of related work experience.

Of the required experience, must have 1 year of experience in all of the following:

  • Working in a manufacturing environment as a subject matter expert on production systems;

  • Performing KPI & data analysis;

  • Quick Changeover (Single Minute Exchange of Die);

  • Developing standard work for manufacturing processes elements and way working;

  • Preparing standard element sheet deployment and driving efficiency of the processes using a continuous improvement approach; and 

  • Providing coaching to team members.

Of the required experience, must have 1 year of experience in SAP Production Module, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power BI, and 5S methodology to support production planning, data analysis, performance reporting, and process improvement.
