Job Description Summary
The Legal Fellow will staff the Justice and Immigration Clinic's legal services project. As a licensed attorney, the fellow will provide immigration legal services to local community residents who are low-income or indigent. The Fellow will work onsite from the JIC office on the CLPS campus in Ontario, CA, under the supervision of the JIC Director.

Duties
Specific Duties
Provide direct representation to Ontario City residents on applications before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. Represent clients at USCIS interviews at local field offices. Conduct legal screenings and legal consultations for potential JIC clients. Instruct and oversee law students in the preparation and submission of legal cases. Host immigration legal workshops for Ontario city residents. Plan and present regular outreach presentations to Ontario City residents Provide training to community partners on immigration topics. Participate in stakeholder meetings with legal service organizations and government agencies. Develop legal referral networks with neighboring legal services providers to expand access to counsel in the Inland Empire. Collect client data for grant reporting purposes. Other duties as assigned.
