Job outline:The Building Services Engineer is responsible for making the campus buildings meet the needs of the staff and students through the implementation and maintenance of all building systems, including mechanical (HVAC and other), electrical, plumbing, and the fire and security alarms. Core responsibilities include managing campus Building Automation System (BAS) and utility services. Duties include scheduling and coordination of special events and assisting in Operation and Capital Projects. This position reports to the Director Operations.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or relevant trade certification
Construction and/or Maintenance project management experience
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic drawings
Strong electrical and/or mechanical skills
Working knowledge of critical computer software (Excel, Word, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet Search Engines, Bluebeam, Adobe Acrobat, etc.)
Preferred Requirements:
Minimum three-years of experience in related fields
Certification as Electrical and/or Mechanical Technician or equivalent
Experience with Access Controls, CCTV, and Lighting Controls
Degree in Building Services Engineering, Facilities Maintenance, Construction Management, or equivalent
