Jennie-O Turkey Store - Crown Brood Assistant Farm Manager - Barron, WI

1st Shift (7am - done)

Weekly salary: $863.94 - $1209.61, based on experience

Job Responsibilities

1. Assist Farm Manager in the care of turkeys from age of move to market

2. This includes responsibilities as general repairs and maintenance, daily and weekly preparation and scheduling

3. Implementation and execution of daily chores

4. Follow sanitation policies as prescribed by company directives

5. Individual will be held responsible for flock performance

6. Assist in the supervision of employees sent to the farm

7. This position requires you to be able to travel to various farms pending labor needs

Minimum Qualifications

• Cannot own or raise any type of fowl (i.e. turkeys, chickens, geese, pheasants, parakeets, etc.)
• Able to meet all sanitation requirements
• Basic mechanical skills
• Able to work scheduled weekends or holidays
• Possess a valid driver''s license with good driving record
• PHYSICAL: Able to twist, stoop, bend, squat, lift, carry and reach while handling turkeys, feed, litter, equipment in a weight range of < 10 pounds to > 50 pounds from occasionally to a frequent basis
• Able to work in a dusty environment with ammonia present in all weather conditions while using approved respirators

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous turkey experience and/or farm background (2 years)
• Possess good communications and supervisory skills based on experience or training

Response Process

To be considered for this position you must have completed six (6) months in your present position. Team Members with less than six (6) months may be considered for promotion or transfer based on the needs of the company.
