This Staff Consultant role manages delivery governance, stakeholders, risks, scope and coordination across AWS, partner and client teams. The consultant is expected to operate as an embedded AWS SME, provide hands-on implementation support, and create audit-ready technical documentation aligned to regulated Financial Services delivery expectations.
Role Scope & Key Responsibilities (from Column W)
- Agile Delivery Leadership: Lead sprint-based delivery for AWS migration/modernization engagements, facilitating daily stand-ups, sprint planning, demos, and backlog management in Jira; report directly to AWS Engagement Manager
- Program Governance & Risk Management: Maintain RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) log, manage escalation paths to AWS EM/DPM, and produce weekly status reports and steering committee materials
- Migration Planning & Orchestration: Collaborate with AWS ProServe Cloud Architect to compile assessment findings, create wave plan sequencing, and develop migration roadmap timelines for enterprise workloads
- Executive Communication: Produce and present executive readout decks, facilitate knowledge transfer sessions, and manage stakeholder expectations across technical and business leadership
- Assessment Outcomes Delivery: Drive assessment completion, synthesize findings into actionable recommendations, and ensure alignment between technical architecture and business objectives

- AWS Professional Services governance, SOW/change-order management and delivery controls
- Agile/Scrum ceremonies, backlog management and sprint-based delivery reporting

Certifications / Qualifications
- PMP, CSM, SAFe or equivalent delivery-management credential
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or Solutions Architect - Associate
- 5+ years of relevant hands-on delivery experience at L5 scope
- Prior delivery in a large regulated enterprise environment, preferably financial services
- Ability to write architecture decision records, design documents, runbooks and test evidence for client Tech Risk review
- Strong stakeholder communication across engineering, security, operations, SRE and delivery teams
- Compliance with AWS ProServe and client onboarding, security, vetting and time-zone overlap requirements
