Java w/ Gen AI

Location: Plano, TX

Salary Range: $65-70/hr on W2

Introduction

Join a leading financial institution as a senior member of the technical team. You will be involved in every release, every project, and in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including Analysis, Technical Design, Development, Testing, and Deployment. This role involves supervising and developing software to ensure the delivery of initiatives for specific applications or application groups, providing strategic technical direction, and collaborating with business leaders to enhance the organization's competitive advantage.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency with the latest Gen AI tools, with the ability to deliver 50% of deliverables using these tools.
• Must have 10+ years of experience in Java
• Experience developing Microservices using Spring Boot and Java 21.
• Experience with Open Shift Containers or similar tools.
• Proficiency in at least one RIA Framework: jQuery, Angular, ReactJs.
• Experience with at least one ORM/Persistence Framework: iBatis, MyBatis, Hibernate, Kafka, JPA.
• Familiarity with Source Control tools such as BitBucket or GitHub.
• Experience with Maven, Test Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration (CI), JUnit, Mockito.
• Proficiency with IDEs such as Eclipse, IntelliJ, or others.
• Experience with at least one RDMS and SQL: Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server.
• Experience in Agile/Iterative development and full SDLC development.
• Front-end web development skills with JavaScript, HTML/HTML5, CSS, Ajax, SASS.
• Prior work experience at client or in client's industry.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with system architecture for individual initiatives.
• Ability to create prototypes to prove design concepts.
• Experience preparing UML diagrams to describe the current and future state of applications.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, test, support, maintain, and debug software applications that support business units or support functions.
• Work closely with line of business and architects to provide implementation solutions for software applications.
• Coordinate collaboration with external programming teams to deliver software on time and within budget.
• Provide feedback and technical guidance to project managers on issues of critical importance to achieving business objectives.
