We are seeking an experienced Java Microservices AWS Developer to design, develop, deploy, and maintain scalable cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
The ideal candidate will have strong experience building RESTful APIs, distributed systems, event-driven applications, and cloud-based services. The developer will work closely with architects, DevOps engineers, QA teams, product managers, and other developers to deliver secure, reliable, high-performance applications.
Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based microservices applications.
Develop backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Framework.
Design and implement RESTful APIs and web services.
Build scalable and loosely coupled microservices architectures.
Deploy and manage applications on Amazon Web Services.
Work with AWS services such as EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, CloudWatch, SQS, and SNS.
Develop cloud-native applications using AWS best practices.
Implement service-to-service communication between distributed microservices.
Develop event-driven applications using Kafka, SQS, SNS, or similar messaging technologies.
Integrate applications with relational and NoSQL databases.
Work with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, DynamoDB, or MongoDB.
Implement authentication and authorization using OAuth 2.0, JWT, or similar security standards.
Develop reusable, maintainable, and efficient Java components.
Implement exception handling, logging, monitoring, and application health checks.
Troubleshoot application issues, API failures, performance problems, and cloud infrastructure issues.
Optimize microservices for scalability, performance, availability, and reliability.
Containerize applications using Docker.
Deploy containerized services using Kubernetes, ECS, or EKS.
Support CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline.
Write unit and integration tests using JUnit, Mockito, and related testing frameworks.
Participate in code reviews and follow established software development standards.
Use Git for source-code management and team collaboration.
Collaborate with DevOps teams to support automated deployments and infrastructure management.
Maintain technical documentation for APIs, services, application architecture, and deployment processes.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 4 years of professional Java development experience.
Strong hands-on experience with Core Java.
Strong experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
Experience developing microservices-based applications.
Strong experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, ECS, EKS, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, or CloudWatch.
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles.
Experience with distributed systems and service-oriented architectures.
Experience with SQL and relational databases.
Knowledge of NoSQL databases.
Experience with JSON and API-based communication.
Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized applications.
Experience with Git and standard version-control workflows.
Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
AWS Certified Developer Associate or similar AWS certification.
Experience with Apache Kafka.
Experience with Kubernetes.
Experience with Spring Cloud.
Knowledge of service discovery and API Gateway patterns.
Experience with circuit breakers, fault tolerance, and resilience patterns.
Experience with Redis or distributed caching.
Familiarity with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code.
Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or AWS CodePipeline.
Experience with application monitoring using AWS CloudWatch, Datadog, Splunk, or similar tools.
Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, JWT, and application security.
