Salary Range: $50-$55/hr. on W2
Introduction
We are seeking a motivated and skilled professional to join our team as a Developer specializing in Java/J2EE. This role involves building rapid prototypes, MVPs, and experimental web tools using AI coding assistants. The ideal candidate enjoys learning new technologies, iterating quickly, and collaborating with AI to accelerate software development.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in software development, web projects, or related fields.
- Strong expertise in Java (17) and Spring Boot using Microservices Architecture.
- Experience with REST APIs and NoSQL database integrations.
- Prior work experience at a client or in the client's industry.
Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with Angular, React, Flask, Express, or similar frameworks.
- Experience using AI coding assistants (ChatGPT, Copilot, etc.) on real projects.
- Familiarity with TypeScript, Next.js, Django, or similar technologies.
- Basic coding proficiency in JavaScript and Python.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Active daily use of AI-powered development tools (Cursor, Windsurf, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, etc.).
- Build and iterate web applications, APIs, and backend services using AI-assisted coding tools.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to deliver solutions quickly.
