Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Java Integration Developer position! This is a 6-18 month contract and will be hybrid in Buffalo, NY.
This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services. No C2C or subcontracting arrangements will be considered.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Design and develop complex integration solutions using Java and Spring Boot to solve business challenges
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices that connect multiple enterprise applications and platforms
- Lead technical implementation of Azure cloud services including Functions, Key Vault, and Managed Identities
- Direct and mentor less experienced developers on complex projects and development best practices
- Analyze and document technical specifications, system integrations, and interrelationships between applications
- Implement OAuth 2.0 authentication and secure API communication patterns across integrated systems
- Execute comprehensive unit testing, debugging, and code quality assurance activities
- Collaborate with business units, operations teams, and technology staff throughout the development lifecycle
- Monitor application performance using Azure monitoring tools and optimize for efficiency
- Evaluate new technologies and recommend improvements to development standards and processes
What You'll Need to Have:
- 5+ years of systems analysis and application development experience with strong Java proficiency
- Expert-level knowledge of object-oriented programming, data structures, and concurrency patterns in Java
- Proven experience building RESTful APIs using Spring Boot and implementing build automation
- Solid understanding of Azure cloud services including Functions, Key Vault, Managed Identities, and monitoring capabilities
- Strong proficiency with HTTP client libraries, API authentication methods including OAuth 2.0, and error handling
- Demonstrated experience with unit testing frameworks and test-driven development practices
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with ability to work independently on complex technical challenges
- Strong communication skills to present technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences
Pay Range: $75-80/hr
