Java Full Stack Developer

The engineer will partner closely with product owners, architects, and peer engineering teams to deliver strategic enhancements, support production operations, improve platform reliability, reduce technical debt, and ensure successful execution of release commitments. This role will serve as a key contributor responsible for the design, development, testing, deployment, and operational support of Java-based microservices, APIs, data processing solutions, and cloud-enabled platforms.

Doesn t need finance experience

Suite of 5 applications for currency transaction reporting (CTR) for aggregate transactions of $10,000 and ensuring there isn t anything fraudulent. This person would have core competencies in Java, Spring Boot, React. Should have been exposed to AI, we re using Github/Copilot. GCP can be good, we re building GCP competency in the team. Data pipelines with Python, Spark. Doing maintenance on already built apps, also merging the applications to one. We re stabilizing the front end in React, would really want someone who has that skill.

As a Senior level engineer, should be teachable and able to learn quickly. Needs to understand the in-office requirements.

No overtime, not expected to be on off-hours release calls.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Currency Transaction Reporting (CTR) technology team supports critical Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and regulatory reporting capabilities for the Risk organization. The team maintains and enhances a portfolio of 5 applications and supporting services that enable customer, transaction, reporting, and integration capabilities across the CTR ecosystem.

This role will serve as a key contributor responsible for the design, development, testing, deployment, and operational support of Java-based microservices, APIs, data processing solutions, and cloud-enabled platforms.

The engineer will partner closely with product owners, architects, and peer engineering teams to deliver strategic enhancements, support production operations, improve platform reliability, reduce technical debt, and ensure successful execution of release commitments.

The role also requires participation in incident resolution, modernization initiatives, CI/CD practices, and continuous improvement efforts that drive engineering excellence and operational resiliency.
