Description

Our Client, an IT Services and Consultant company, is looking for a Java FSE for their Hartford, CT location.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Full Stack Development: Design, develop, and maintain web applications and services using modern technologies and frameworks, with a focus on React for front-end development and Node.js/Java/Spring for back-end services. /Microservices API
  • Development: Create and manage robust RESTful APIs to support messaging functionalities, ensuring seamless integration with front-end applications and third-party services.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Leverage Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for deploying and managing applications, utilizing GCP services to enhance scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Database Management: Design and optimize database schemas and queries for relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB) to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with product managers and other developers to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Code Quality and Security: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices and coding and security standards. Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Testing and Debugging: Implement automated testing and debugging processes to ensure the reliability and performance of applications. Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Deployment and Monitoring: Manage deployment processes on GCP and monitor application performance in production environments. Utilize CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployment.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for code, APIs, and system architecture to facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.
 
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for application deployment and management.
  • Familiarity with database technologies (SQL and NoSQL) and data modeling.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and Agile development methodologies.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively.
  • Years of experience required:
  • 7-10 years of experience in full stack development, with a strong portfolio of web applications and services.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React.
  • Strong experience with back-end technologies, particularly Node.js and Java, for building scalable applications and RESTful APIs.
  • Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for application deployment and management.
  • Familiarity with database technologies (SQL and NoSQL) and data modeling.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and Agile development methodologies.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and technologies.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with cloud-native application development and microservices architecture on GCP.
  • Familiarity with messaging protocols and technologies
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment.
