Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Java Developer with expertise in enterprise application development and hands-on experience integrating AI/Generative AI capabilities into applications. The ideal candidate will have strong Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and REST API development skills, along with experience working with LLMs, AI-powered applications, and cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices.
- Integrate AI/Generative AI capabilities into Java-based applications using LLM APIs and AI frameworks.
- Develop RESTful APIs and backend services to support AI-powered features.
- Work with LLMs such as OpenAI GPT, Anthropic Claude, or Google Gemini.
- Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, and vector database integrations where applicable.
- Build secure, scalable, and high-performance applications using cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Collaborate with data scientists, AI engineers, architects, and product teams to deliver AI-driven solutions.
- Write unit tests, perform code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and optimize application performance.
- Use CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and automated testing tools to support deployment and maintenance.
Required Skills- Strong hands-on experience with Java 8/11/17 or newer.
- Expertise in Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Hibernate/JPA, and microservices architecture.
- Experience developing REST APIs and integrating third-party services.
- Practical experience integrating LLMs or Generative AI APIs into applications.
- Understanding of prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, and vector databases.
- Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, or Redis.
- Familiarity with Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with LangChain4j, Spring AI, LangChain, or Semantic Kernel.
- Familiarity with vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus, or pgvector.
- Experience building AI agents, tool calling, or multi-step AI workflows.
- Knowledge of Python for AI integrations is a plus.
- Understanding of AI security, data privacy, evaluation, and responsible AI practices.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
