Pay Range: $40 - $45/Hour on W2/C2C (All inclusive)

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Java Developer with strong expertise in Java, Spring, Kafka, and REST APIs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining Java/Spring applications and will contribute throughout the software development lifecycle.

The candidate should have strong knowledge of advanced Java concepts, experience working in Agile environments, and preferably a background in Payments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain Java/Spring applications and jobs.

• Develop well-designed, scalable, testable, and efficient code.

• Work with Apache Kafka for messaging and event-driven application development.

• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs.

• Prepare and support software releases through CI/CD and Release-when-Ready processes.

• Perform unit testing and integration testing to ensure application quality and reliability.

• Investigate new technologies and alternative solutions and present recommendations for architectural review.

• Troubleshoot application issues and contribute to continuous improvement.

• Participate in SAFe Agile ceremonies, including:

  • Daily Stand-Ups (DSU)

  • Program Increment Planning (PIP)

  • Iteration Planning (IP)

  • Retrospectives

  • Product Backlog Grooming

• Provide regular updates on assigned stories through DSU and Agile project management tools such as JIRA.

• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Technical Leads, Architects, and project stakeholders.

• Contribute to technical discussions, solution design, and application architecture.

Required Skills:

• 6 10 years of professional experience in Java development.

• Strong proficiency in Java and Advanced Java concepts.

• Strong experience with Spring / Spring Boot.

• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka.

• Strong experience developing REST APIs.

• Experience with Unit Testing and Integration Testing.

• Experience with CI/CD and software release processes.

• Experience working in Agile / SAFe environments.

• Experience with JIRA or similar Agile project management tools.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Good communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred / Desirable Skills:

• Experience in Payments / Banking / Financial Services.

• Knowledge of event-driven and distributed systems.

• Experience with cloud or modern application development practices.

• Experience working with technical leads and architects on solution design.

6 10 years of relevant experience, with strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring, Kafka, and REST APIs.
