CTG is seeking to fill a Java Developer position for our client.
Location: Phoenix, AZ or New York City, NY
Duration: Ongoing Contract
Duties:
Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Java-based applications and services.
Develop full-stack solutions using Java and modern front-end technologies.
Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services.
Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements through deployment and production support.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, testing, and deployment processes.
Use Jenkins and related DevOps tools to support continuous integration and continuous delivery.
Collaborate with developers, DevOps engineers, QA teams, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Troubleshoot application issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
Perform code reviews and contribute to development standards, best practices, and technical documentation.
Support application deployments and production releases in an Agile development environment.
Skills:
Strong Java development skills with experience building enterprise applications.
Full-stack development experience across backend and frontend technologies.
Experience developing REST APIs and microservices.
Strong knowledge of CI/CD concepts and DevOps practices.
Hands-on experience with Jenkins and automated build/deployment pipelines.
Experience with Git and source code management.
Understanding of software development, testing, deployment, and release management processes.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Experience:
5+ years of professional software development experience, with strong hands-on Java development experience.
Experience developing and supporting full-stack Java applications.
Experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
Experience with cloud environments and modern DevOps practices is preferred.
Experience with Spring/Spring Boot, RESTful services, microservices, and relational or NoSQL databases is preferred.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
