A Java and AWS Support Engineer troubleshoots, maintains, and optimizes cloud-native Java applications and microservices running on Amazon Web Services. This role resolves complex production incidents, analyzes thread dumps, manages CI/CD pipelines, and ensures high availability and performance across distributed enterprise architectures.
Key Responsibilities
- **Troubleshooting:** Diagnose and fix code, network, and database issues in production.
- **Cloud Operations:** Manage AWS tools like EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS.
- **Log Analysis:** Use CloudWatch and splunk to track system health and errors.
- **API Support:** Maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.
- **Collaboration:** Work with development teams to escalate and resolve deep code bugs.
Required Skills
- **Programming:** Strong skills in Java and object-oriented design.
- **Cloud Knowledge:** Experience with AWS core services and serverless setups.
- **Databases:** Know SQL and understand relational or NoSQL data stores.
- **Problem Solving:** Ability to read stack traces and debug live systems.
- **Communication:** Clear writing and speaking skills for user support.
