Java Developer

Summary:

• We are seeking a versatile Software Engineer with hands-on experience to design, build, and support high-throughput, secure microservices and digital banking solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, test, and maintain resilient RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Collaborate across frontend web (Angular) and mobile ecosystems (iOS/Android) to deliver cohesive, secure digital customer journeys.
• Partner closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Domain SMEs to translate business requirements into technical design specifications.
• Deliver clean, modular, and maintainable code adhering to test-driven development (TDD), comprehensive unit testing, and automated integration testing.
• Implement industry best practices in object-oriented design, design patterns, transactional integrity, and security standards (OAuth2, OIDC, mTLS).
• Actively participate in all Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, peer code reviews, backlog grooming, and CI/CD deployment pipelines.
• Provide technical oversight, resolve defects, mitigate delivery risks, and bridge communication across onshore and offshore engineering teams.

Requirements:

• Proficient in Java (Java 11/17) and Spring Framework / Spring Boot.
• Solid understanding of Core Java internals (multithreading, concurrency, memory management, and garbage collection).
• Strong expertise in building and consuming RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Relational Databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL) and ORM tools (JPA, Hibernate).
• Proficient in SQL query optimization, data modeling, and transaction management.
• Hands-on experience developing web applications using Angular (v12), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Practical understanding and working knowledge of mobile development across iOS (Swift/Objective-C) and Android (Kotlin/Java) or cross-platform SDK integration.
• Proven experience with unit/integration testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, Jasmine/Karma, Cypress).
• Experience with modern build and version control tools (Git, Maven/Gradle, Bitbucket/GitHub).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/Tekton) and containerized deployment concepts (Docker, OpenShift/Kubernetes).

Preferred Skills:

• Prior experience in Banking & Financial Services, with a specific focus on Cards (Credit/Debit processing, transaction authorization, digital card issuance, rewards, or payments).
• Hands-on exposure to digital banking platforms, omni-channel customer experiences, and mobile SDK integration.
• Familiarity with message brokers (Kafka/RabbitMQ/JMS) and microservice monitoring/logging tools (Splunk, AppDynamics, Grafana).
