Job Title: Java Developer
Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid)
Duration: 12+ Months Contract
 
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Java Developer to design, develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise applications in a collaborative Agile environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Java, SQL databases, Linux, and large-scale application support. Responsibilities include application development, troubleshooting, performance optimization, database development, code reviews, and collaborating with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
Required Skills

• 15+ years of Java development experience
• 10+ years of SQL database experience
• 8+ years supporting and developing large enterprise applications in a team environment
• 5+ years of Linux experience
• Strong knowledge of application debugging, performance tuning, and SQL development

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Atlassian tools, especially Jira
• Agile/Scrum development experience
• Experience migrating legacy applications to Java/SQL platforms
• Prior State Government experience is a plus
