Role Description Seeking experienced
Java Developers to design, build, and enhance frontend components and Java-based middleware services within a large, multi-system transformation effort. This role will focus on developing scalable APIs, integrations, and event-driven services using
Micronaut, while collaborating closely with client technical teams to support architectural alignment, integration standards, and delivery best practices. Strong Java middleware experience is required, along with knowledge of
Azure Service Bus, Azure APIM, and REST/SOAP integrations.
Basic Requirements- Java: 7+ years of hands-on development experience, preferably in middleware, API, or integration-focused roles
- Micronaut: Practical experience building services with Micronaut; Spring Boot experience may be considered for strong candidates
- Cloud: Azure experience strongly preferred; AWS experience may be considered for the right candidate
Must Have- Strong proficiency in Java, API development, and service-oriented design
- Experience building and integrating REST and SOAP APIs
- Working knowledge of the Azure Integration Stack, including Azure Service Bus and Azure APIM
- Ability to work with client technical teams on solution design, troubleshooting, and implementation alignment
Skills That Help Candidates Stand Out- Recent hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience developing cloud-native, containerized middleware services
- Familiarity with event-driven integration patterns, messaging, and API governance
Nice To Have- Broader containerization and orchestration experience, including Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, or similar tools
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, observability, or DevOps practices
- Prior experience in large-scale enterprise transformation or integration programs
