The Java Backend Services Developer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting scalable backend applications and services. This role requires strong hands-on expertise in Java and Spring Boot, with experience developing cloud-native, event-driven, and microservices-based applications in AWS environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Java/Spring Boot backend services and applications.
Translate business and technical requirements into scalable, reliable software solutions.
Develop microservices using object-oriented design principles, common design patterns, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
Build and integrate RESTful services, APIs, and event-driven applications.
Deploy and support applications within AWS cloud environments.
Utilize Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and cloud deployment automation.
Design and optimize relational database solutions using SQL, JPA, Hibernate, and ORM technologies.
Conduct unit, integration, and application testing and troubleshoot issues across development, test, and production environments.
Participate throughout the full software development lifecycle, from requirements and architecture through deployment and production support.
Develop technical documentation and provide support to application users and development teams.
Collaborate with architects, developers, product teams, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of hands-on Java development experience.
Strong experience with Java/J2EE and Spring Boot.
Proven experience developing and supporting microservices and backend services.
Strong understanding of cloud and event-driven architecture.
Experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and object-oriented analysis and design.
Hands-on experience deploying applications to AWS.
Strong understanding and practical experience with Terraform.
Excellent knowledge of relational databases, SQL, JPA, and Hibernate.
Experience with Spring Framework and Spring MVC or comparable web frameworks.
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Bachelor"s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
