We are looking for a strong hands-on Java Backend Developer with experience building scalable, high-volume backend services.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Java 17/21
• Strong experience with Spring Boot
• Experience designing and developing REST APIs
• Hands-on experience with AWS
• Exposure to or experience with AI / GenAI solutions
• Strong understanding of databases, backend architecture, and distributed systems

Key Experience Required

1. High-TPS Backend Experience

• Experience building, supporting, or enhancing high-volume Java backend services
• Strong understanding of scalability, performance, latency, resiliency, and production troubleshooting
• Experience handling high transaction/request volumes in production environments

2. Strong Java / Backend Fundamentals

• Strong knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, concurrency, collections, exception handling, and database concepts
• Ability to design clean, maintainable, and scalable backend services
• Good understanding of microservices and API integration

3. Engineering Decision-Making

• Ability to clearly explain technical and architectural decisions
• Should be able to explain why a specific design, timeout, retry strategy, framework, database, or implementation approach was selected
• Ability to discuss trade-offs, alternatives considered, and the impact of technical decisions

Preferred

• Experience with Kafka or other messaging platforms
• Experience with caching, resiliency patterns, circuit breakers, retries, and distributed systems
• Experience supporting production systems with high availability and low latency
• Experience integrating AI/GenAI capabilities into backend applications
