We are looking for an experienced Senior Java API Developer with 8 10 years of experience in designing, developing, and delivering scalable enterprise applications using Core Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices.
The ideal candidate should have strong technical leadership skills, hands-on backend development experience, and a good understanding of cloud and DevOps practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design, development, and delivery of scalable enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices.
- Own technical solutioning, architecture discussions, design reviews, and code reviews.
- Develop secure, scalable, maintainable, and high-performance backend services and APIs.
- Guide and mentor developers, resolve technical blockers, and ensure adherence to engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with business, product, QA, DevOps, and architecture teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Implement and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices-based applications.
- Work with JPA/Hibernate for database persistence and application development.
- Apply API security fundamentals and secure coding practices.
- Support CI/CD pipelines, release readiness, deployments, and production stability.
- Troubleshoot application and performance issues and drive performance improvements.
- Identify and reduce technical debt while continuously improving code quality and development processes.
Required Skills
- 8 10 years of professional experience in Java development.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Core Java.
- Strong experience with Spring Boot.
- Extensive experience developing REST APIs.
- Strong understanding of Microservices architecture.
- Experience with JPA/Hibernate.
- Understanding of API security concepts.
- Strong knowledge of Git, CI/CD, unit testing, and code review.
- Experience with clean coding standards and performance troubleshooting.
Cloud / DevOps
- Working knowledge of AWS and/or Azure.
- Familiarity with containers and containerized applications.
- Understanding of build and deployment pipelines.
- Knowledge of application monitoring and production deployment practices.

A technically strong Java/API Lead who can remain hands-on with development while providing technical direction, mentoring developers, driving engineering standards, and collaborating across product, QA, DevOps, and architecture teams.
