Looking for a Finance Manager role where you can make a direct impact in a growing global business? We're seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented professional to lead day-to-day finance, accounting, and administrative operations for the U.S. subsidiary of an international manufacturing and technology company. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative small-office environment, enjoys balancing strategic financial coordination with day-to-day accounting responsibilities, and can confidently work across teams in both the U.S. and Japan.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily finance and accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable, collections, invoicing, and bookkeeping in QuickBooks
  • Support monthly and year-end close processes in coordination with external accounting firms
  • Review financial statements, analyze variances, and report financial insights to corporate leadership
  • Coordinate Sales Tax compliance, business registrations, and transfer pricing documentation with external advisors
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
  • Identify process improvements and support the development of company policies and operational controls
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure audit readiness
  • Support office administration functions, vendor coordination, facility operations, and corporate documentation as needed
  • Collaborate with U.S. and Japan-based teams to support cross-functional business operations and financial alignment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required
  • 5-10 years of accounting and finance experience, preferably within multinational, trading, or manufacturing environments
  • Strong hands-on experience using QuickBooks for daily accounting operations
  • Proven ability to independently manage monthly closing preparation and financial data coordination
  • Native-level Japanese fluency (written and verbal) with professional English communication skills
  • Deep understanding of Japanese business culture and communication practices for effective collaboration with headquarters in Japan
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, reporting, and data tracking
  • Flexible, hands-on professional willing to support accounting, administrative, and general office functions as needed
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative small-office environment with a team-oriented mindset
  • Stable work history demonstrating reliability, long-term commitment, and professional growth
