Summary
The Janitorial Technician is responsible for performing daily cleaning, sanitation, waste removal, floor care, and general custodial duties throughout assigned facility areas.
Requirements
- Janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, or related cleaning experience preferred.
- Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Must be able to use standard cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment safely.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical cleaning tasks during the shift.
- Must be able to pass all required background checks and facility access requirements.
Duties
- Clean and sanitize offices, restrooms, hallways, common areas, and assigned spaces.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and maintain floor surfaces.
- Empty trash and recycling containers.
- Clean and disinfect restroom fixtures and replenish supplies.
- Wipe doors, glass, walls, furniture, and high-touch surfaces.
- Report maintenance concerns, spills, hazards, or damaged items.
- Use cleaning chemicals and equipment in a safe and proper manner.
- Complete assigned cleaning tasks according to schedule and quality standards.
