Overview
The Janitorial Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of janitorial staff to ensure facilities are maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition. This position provides leadership, training, scheduling, quality control inspections, and performance management while ensuring compliance with company policies, safety standards, and client expectations.
Shift: Sunday - Thursday
Payrate: $27.10 hourly rate | Weekly pay
Location: South San Francisco, Ca

Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of janitorial personnel.
- Schedule staff assignments and ensure adequate coverage for all shifts and facility areas.
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings, offices, restrooms, common areas, and designated spaces to ensure cleanliness standards are achieved.
- Train employees on proper cleaning methods, equipment operation, safety procedures, and company policies.
- Monitor employee attendance, productivity, and performance.
- Assist with employee onboarding, coaching, disciplinary actions, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure proper use, storage, and maintenance of cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Maintain inventory of janitorial supplies and coordinate replenishment as needed.
- Respond promptly to client requests, complaints, and special cleaning requirements.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, safety procedures, and environmental standards.
- Investigate and report workplace incidents, injuries, or safety concerns.
- Coordinate periodic deep-cleaning projects, floor care programs, carpet cleaning, and special event support.
- Complete administrative duties including schedules, inspections, reports, timekeeping, and work orders.
- Monitor quality assurance programs and implement corrective actions when deficiencies are identified.
- Support emergency response activities, including weather events, spills, and facility-related incidents.
- Perform custodial duties as needed to support staffing requirements and operational needs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of janitorial, custodial, or facilities maintenance experience.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning procedures, equipment, and chemicals.
- Ability to read and understand safety procedures, work instructions, and cleaning specifications.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and basic computer systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license required for this job location
