    JOB SUMMARY:

    Under the general direction of the Operations Manager/CEO, the primary responsibilities of the Supervisor are to professionally and courteously greet, direct and assist clients and manage cleaning specialist or perform cleaning tasks at their assigned accounts; Perform cleaning tasks including but not limited to; trash removal; dusting; cleaning and re-stocking supplies in restrooms, break rooms, coffee centers; sweeping and mopping floors; vacuuming; window washing; replacing light bulbs; other project work/special services duties assigned.

    EXPERIENCE | EDUCATION:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent. Three year supervisor experience with managing employees; general cleaning and project work/special services.

     

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • Supervisory experience.
    • Total knowledge of general facility cleaning.
    • Knowledge of project work/special services. Carpet cleaning; stripping and waxing; buffing and burnishing; scrubbing and recoating; carpet spotting and window washing.
    • Demonstrated skill and proficiency with cleaning equipment.   
    • Demonstrated skill and proficiency with consumable supplies.
    • Total knowledge of identifying surfaces and make recommendations for proper cleaning procedures.
    • Excellent conceptual thinking skills and the ability to identify and analyze complex and sensitive issues, problems and conflicts and to use independent judgment to make decisions, and to recommend and/or implement solutions.
    • Customer services principles and practices.
    • Ability to listen and communicate clearly, fluently and diplomatically orally and in writing in the English language; also to maintain excellent interpersonal and cooperative relationships with management, staff and clients.
    • Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and accurately follow through on work activities with time constraints and interruptions to meet deadlines as well as to work independently with a minimum amount of direction and/or supervision.
    • Ability to remain flexible, resilient, calm, maintain a sense of humor and to regularly present a well-groomed, professional image.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS | WORKING CONDITIONS:

    • Must be able to lift and move objects up to 30 lbs. as necessary.
    • Moderate physical activities, which may include pulling, pushing, lifting, reaching, bending and repetitive movements.
    • Demonstrated skill and proficiency with cleaning equipment.
    • Use of cleaning products, which require the use of protective gloves and eyewear.
    • Safety is of the utmost importance. Cleaning Technicians must work in a way that complies with all safety regulations required by [Company Name] and OSHA.
    • Normally, 40 hours per week with extra time as needed to support the mission, activities and expansion of the organization. Any overtime must be preapproved by Management.
    • Normal office cleaning conditions with occasional local cleaning route travel and/or professional meetings.

    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Responsible for specified locations and employees working in those locations.
    • Perform building walk-throughs and quality control inspections.
    • Train employees; assist management with organizing work schedule and assigning tasks.
    • Setting deadlines and ensuring completion.
    • Resolve employee problems or refer matters to manager.
    • Replenish supplies.
    • Understand the strategy, vision and expansion model of the organization including a basic understanding of [company name]‘s business; be aware of and help to enforce organizational policies and best practices procedures.
    • Consistently support the general direction, initiatives and specific final decisions of the Management Team in all aspects of the business; use influence sensitively to garner cooperation of management and co-workers.
    • Completing reports; accident; damage; incident; etc.
    • Generate goodwill for the organization and its management among staff, clients, suppliers, referral sources, regulatory bodies, the general community and others pertinent to the business; demonstrate a strong commitment to client service and service excellence.
    • Fill in for absent employees.
    • Greet, direct and assist persons who enter the office in a polite, respectful and helpful manner to ensure positive relationships. Screen and route requests to appropriate persons; Provide timely and accurate customer service support.
    • Treat information acquired in the course of work confidentially and responsibly.
    • Complete work to standard.
    • Participate in cross-training with other positionsboth as necessary andas requested by manager to ensure that the workflow is uninterrupted during absences from work. This cross-training may involve learning at least one other position; also training at least one other individual to perform Supervisor work functions.
    • Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is an essential function of this position.
    • Perform other duties as requested or required by management.
