About Us Horizons Group Care is a residential program providing a safe and supportive environment for at-risk youth. Our facility emphasizes structure, safety, and care, and we take pride in maintaining a clean, healthy, and welcoming space for both residents and staff.
Position Summary We are seeking a dependable Janitorial Staff Member to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for keeping our facility clean, sanitized, and well-maintained. This position plays a key role in ensuring the comfort and safety of everyone in our care.
Key Responsibilities Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Cleaning office areas and common spaces
- Vacuuming all carpeted areas throughout the facility
- Mopping and maintaining dining areas
- Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, and urinals
- Wiping down desks, tables, and work surfaces
- Emptying and disposing of trash from all designated areas
- Replenishing restroom supplies (toilet paper, soap, paper towels, etc.)
- Cleaning windows and glass surfaces
- Wiping down furniture and ensuring surfaces are dust-free
Qualifications
- Prior janitorial, custodial, or housekeeping experience preferred
- Knowledge of proper cleaning and sanitation practices
- Ability to lift moderate weight and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in a youth-care environment
