    Janitorial - Maintenance Department

    LOCATION: Akron, OH, USA

    Shifts:

    • Monday - Thursday DAYS: 5:00am or 6:30am - 3:30pm or 5:00pm

    Job Summary:

    Ariel is looking for a Janitorial team member within our Maintenance Department to uphold our strict standards for cleanliness and organization. The right candidate must always preserve the neat and professional condition of the facilities. Ariel Janitorial staff use forklifts on a daily basis to empty chip hoppers from CNC machines, empty trash, run floor scrubbers, and assist the Maintenance team with facility projects as needed.

    Job Responsibilities / Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or GED required
    • Proper and safe use of power equipment, including scrubbing and/or buffing equipment, polishers, carpet shampooers or vacuums
    • Demonstrated experience using Powered Industrial Trucks, including cranes, tow motors, forklifts and genie booms
    • Ability to maintain a current and valid driver's license
    • Demonstrated ability to maintain Ariel facilities with the highest level of cleanliness, including production floor tasks
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and complete all required tasks on a regular basis as required
    • Basic computer knowledge, with ability to requisition supplies for cleaning duties and retrieve GHS records as necessary
    • Solid written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to provide one-on-one training, as well as ongoing, informal guidance and feedback, to new employees as required
    • Team member experience; collaboration and incorporation of suggestions for quality improvements
    • Understanding and application of all quality management system procedures and processes related to job tasks; observance of all safety policies and procedures
    • Experience with or knowledge of manufacturing practices (ISO, safety, quality, etc.)
