Job Summary
The mechanic keeps cleaning fleets running safely and efficiently. This role minimizes equipment downtime through routine upkeep, electrical troubleshooting, and parts management. Key Responsibilities- Equipment Repair:
Fix mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on walk-behind and ride-on floor scrubbers, burnishers, and extractors.
Service DC electrical systems, batteries, wiring harnesses, and brush motors.
Replace high-wear items like squeegee blades, filters, belts, and carbon brushes.
Track and order replacement parts and maintain repair logs.
Instruct cleaning teams on correct machine operation and daily care.
Requirements- Education:
High school diploma or GED equivalent. Technical training or certification is a plus.
2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in small engine, appliance, or commercial cleaning equipment repair.
Strong knowledge of DC electrical systems and mechanical diagnostics. Familiarity with major brands like Tennant or Advance.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and bend or kneel to service machine components.
