Job Summary
LJ’s Cleaning Solutions is seeking a dependable and experienced Janitorial Assistant Supervisor to help oversee daily cleaning operations and support the janitorial team. This is a hands-on leadership position that requires strong communication, organization, and teamwork.
A current resume is required for consideration. This position must be the candidate’s primary and only job, as Assistant Supervisors are required to be on-call.
Responsibilities
Assist with supervising daily janitorial operations and staff
Train and support new employees
Monitor employee timekeeping, attendance, and performance
Inspect completed work to ensure LJ’s Cleaning Solutions standards are met
Communicate professionally with employees, clients, and management
Use Outlook, Word, OneDrive, and other office applications
Operate computers, tablets, phones, printers, scanners, and radios
Assist with assigned janitorial and cleaning duties
Perform disinfecting/misting using a backpack mister and required PPE when needed (training provided)
Provide coverage and additional support when the Site Supervisor is absent
Requirements
Must be at least 18 years old
1 year of management experience preferred
2 years of janitorial experience preferred
High school diploma or GED preferred
Reliable transportation
Ability to pass a criminal background check
Strong leadership and professional communication skills
Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications and electronic devices
Knowledge of OSHA and custodial safety procedures preferred
Bilingual preferred, but not required
Must be flexible and available for on-call responsibilities
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Ability to bend, stoop, reach, push, and pull
Frequently lift up to 35 lbs and occasionally up to 40 lbs
Ability to safely work with cleaning chemicals and required PPE
