Job Description Summary

Our Fort Wayne Manufacturing Facility is seeking a reliable and diligent Janitor to maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment for our employees and visitors.

Job Description:

• Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing surfaces in offices, restrooms, common areas, and production floors.
• Empty trash cans and recycling bins and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and floors, and restock supplies as needed.
• Clean and maintain breakroom and kitchen areas, including wiping down counters, sinks, and appliances.
• Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors.
• Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and pressure washers.
• Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or needed repairs to management.
• Follow all safety protocols and company policies.
• Assist with setting up and tearing down for meetings or events as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Required Skills and Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Proven experience as a janitor or in a similar cleaning role is a plus.
• Ability to handle basic cleaning tasks and operate relevant equipment.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Familiarity with safety procedures and guidelines.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Good physical condition and stamina, with the ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Effective communication skills.
