Janitor – Commercial/Industrial

We are currently looking for dependable and motivated candidates for a Janitor position in Akron, Ohio. If you enjoy keeping environments clean and safe while providing light maintenance support, this could be a great opportunity for you.

This role is with a large industrial recycling company that values teamwork and a strong work ethic. You will perform janitorial tasks to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and proper upkeep of the facility. There may also be opportunities to assist with light maintenance and building care.

Hours:
7:30 am – 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday (1st Shift)

Pay:
$14.00+ per hour (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

• General cleaning and building care in office and shop areas
• Removing garbage and recycling
• Assisting with sorting materials received
• Painting, changing light bulbs, mopping, sweeping, pressure washing
• Performing light plumbing repairs
• Cutting grass, mulching, raking, blowing leaves
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

• Janitorial or facilities maintenance experience
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to perform indoor and outdoor cleaning and maintenance tasks
• Punctual and dependable with a strong work ethic
• Openness to learning and willingness to assist where needed

Nice to Have Skills:

• Previous janitorial or light maintenance experience

Preferred Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
