Employnet is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment throughout the facility, including production areas, offices, breakrooms, restrooms, and common spaces. The ideal candidate will take pride in their work, follow safety procedures, and contribute to a positive workplace for all employees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the facility, including manufacturing, warehouse, office, and common areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish floors and surfaces as needed.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, breakrooms, conference rooms, and high-touch areas.
- Empty trash and recycling containers and properly dispose of waste materials.
- Restock cleaning supplies, paper products, soap dispensers, and other facility necessities.
- Operate cleaning equipment and utilize approved cleaning chemicals safely and effectively.
- Perform routine inspections to identify cleanliness, safety, or maintenance concerns.
- Report facility maintenance issues and safety hazards to management promptly.
- Assist with facility setup, minor maintenance tasks, and special cleaning projects as assigned.
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and OSHA regulations.
- Maintain an organized janitorial storage area and ensure adequate inventory of supplies.
- Support a safe, clean, and professional work environment for employees and visitors.
- Previous janitorial, custodial, or facility maintenance experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, walking, and reaching throughout the shift.
- Knowledge of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and safety procedures.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
