We are looking for an ITS Traffic Designer to join the Metric team! This position is responsible for developing and preparing Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and Traffic related project construction plans using Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD), as well as taking the lead and coordinating the necessary tasks required to complete multiple projects that conform to scopes of work to ensure adherence to budgets and schedules. They will also ensure that the plans preparation follows the appropriate design criteria, procedures, and guidelines. Job Duties & Expectations
Scope of the Job
Education and Experience May require a drafting degree or 5+ years of experience in designing complex, major and minor highway projects. Has extensive experience with commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the ITS/Traffic operations field. Required Experience
Other Skills Excellent technical writing, analytical and excellent communication skills, including ability to present articulate technical concepts verbally. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook is required. Experience with the use of field equipment to complete job duties such the ability to access and understand technical materials, ability to use a voltmeter, ability to analyze data, and ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
