Enterprise Systems Analyst (Tier 2A) AFSME 1522

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

Assists in monitors and maintaining the District's interconnected servers, systems and web applications. Maintains the District's production website content and services. Assists in performing the integration of software platforms in support of the District and the ITS Department's mission. Districts production website Assists ITS Department leadership in the maintenance, design and upkeep of the District's datacenter, network and storage area network (SAN) infrastructure. Performs security patching, software maintenance and makes recommendations based on industry best practices for information technology security

MAJOR RESPONSIBLITIES:

• Web and Database Application Management

o Possesses knowledge on how to use web programing tools

o Acts as the primary point of contact for:

§ District's production website (FinalSite)

§ All forward facing web applications

o Maintains relationship with school SYSOPs to provide guidance and support for updating their specific websites.

o Assists in the co-management of PowerSchool with our peer department Data Management.

o Deployment and management of Kubernetes, Docker, Cloud or other virtualized environments.

o Participates in working with vendors on deployment of SaaS, PaaS, IaaS platforms.

• Software Integrations and Management:

o Installation, configuration and integration of software applications, in Microsoft Azure, Active Directory, PowerSchool and Classlink environments.

o Performs management and monitoring of the District's AD Domain Services, Azure and Google tenants.

o Interfaces with peer departments Data Management/Systems and City of Bridgeport ITS, to ensure security, performance and data integrity requirements are met.

o Monitors and maintains the District's account lifecycle policies and practices.

o Support and policy maintenance of Microsoft Intune, Microsoft MECM/SCCM, Active Directory group policy, etc.

o Assists department leadership in monitoring and maintaining the District's data governance policies such as DLP.

• Interconnected Servers and Systems

o Installation, configuration and deployment of servers, such as Cisco UCS, Dell, HPE or standard rack servers in a VMware vSphere and/or Hyper-V Environment.

o Performs routine maintenance and software patching of VMWare ESXI, Microsoft Hyper-V Hosts, Windows, and various Linux and FreeBSD distributions.

o Monitors and maintains the integrity of the District's data backup strategy and systems.

o Monitors and maintains the inventory of all District server, storage and compute assets.

o Support and maintenance of Microsoft monitoring and management systems including SCOM, MECM, SCORCH, SCSM, Thycotic, Cireson, Gravwell and Derdack

o Support and upkeep or the District's Malware software and services for both client and server, experience with Crowdstrike strongly preferred.

o Knowledge of system infrastructure and environmental monitoring (SIEM) concepts.

• Experience with Windows Server required, working knowledge of Linux and FreeBSD preferred.
• Experience with Hybrid Cloud (SaaS), Hyper-V, SCVMM, VMware ESXI, vSphere, VSAN strongly preferred.
• Assists in networking and routing patching of network connected equipment.
• Must be able to move and carry equipment up to 50lbs.
• Demonstrated experience with Milestone Corporate VMS Systems strongly preferred.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by ITS Department Management.
• Position reports to the ITS District Infrastructure Operations Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a large environment, 5+ years preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in Information Technology or Computer Science.
• Microsoft MCP or other Microsoft certifications are preferred.
• VMWare VCP or other VMWare certifications are preferred.
• Previous experience in K12 education is preferred.
