Description Bellingham Technical College is establishing a pool of applicants for part-time temporary hourly persons to assist the library with circulation, general reference, materials processing and student technology support. These are part-time, temporary, hourly positions that report to the Executive Director of the Library, eLearning & Academic Support. Hours are not guaranteed, and assignments are based on the needs of the department.

This position is not generally eligible for benefits such as insurance, retirement or tuition waivers. These position are eligible for benefits such as paid sick leave in accordance with Washington State law and Initiative I-1433. Sick leave is accrued at 1 hour for every 40 hours worked. Employees are also eligible to participate in the Employee Assistance Program (EAP), a free counseling and referral program. Temporary employees have some flexible schedule benefits. Required Questions 01 Briefly describe how you meet the minimum qualifications: High School graduation or equivalent AND one year library technical experience or related activity (ITRC II) or three years of library technical experience (ITRC III), or satisfactory completion of relevant course work, OR equivalent education/experience.
02 Briefly describe your experience as it relates to position duties and responsibilities. Include experience performing library circulation functions; assisting library patrons; and assisting with computer technical support.
03 These are on-call and temporary project positions, mostly during the Monday through Thursday, 9am to 5pm workday and Friday, 9am to 4pm workday. Briefly describe your hours of availability.
