Job Title: Food Manufacturing Technologist – Cereal - 3rd Shift
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Type: Contract
Compensation: $21/hr
Work Model: On-Site
Hours: Sunday-Thursday 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM

Food Manufacturing Technologist Responsibilities

• Safely operate equipment, understand food safety requirements, and perform risk assessments
• Lead teams through projects to identify and resolve safety risks
• Maintain skills on multiple unit operations/systems; demonstrate mastery on some systems and ability to teach others
• Lead equipment sanitation activities and inspect sanitation processes
• Focus on maintenance, electrical, and controls with a technical emphasis
• Lift and manipulate ingredients or equipment up to 55 lbs.

Food Manufacturing Technologist Requirements

• High School Diploma (or equivalent) required
• Experience working in teams to deliver results
• Basic computer/technology skills (Office Suite, other computer programs)
• Critical Thinking & Problem-Solving Skills
• Ability to coach, train & develop others
• Translate technical expertise to business impact
• Comfortable in a processing (pilot plant or plant) environment
• Confidence in autonomously operating equipment
• Strong communication skills with peers and with customers
• Strong understanding of food safety and human safety
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment
• Ability to communicate effectively and contribute to a team environment
• Interpersonal ability to build relationships at all levels within the organization to advance your work
• Ability to diagnose and resolve conflicts with others
• Desire to learn new concepts quickly and apply in productive ways

• Ability to assess and solve technical/mechanical problems

• 1+ years of previous work experience in a similar field
