Itinerant Primary Intervention Specialist (P-3 or P-5 License) - Summit ESC
Term: 2026-2027 School Year
Qualifications and Possible Job Duties Include:
- Bachelor''s Degree in Education required
- Ohio SBOE Licensure that includes preschool special education is required - dually licensed with preschool general education is preferred but not required.
- Previous experience in working with students with special needs
- Successful completion of all pre-employment screenings
- Alternatives to the above as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
- Work effectively with children diagnosed with special needs and behavior challenges in an alternative educational program
- Provides for individual differences through an individualized educational program that is evidenced in daily planning, class activities, and assessment goals
- Provide appropriate educational activities and opportunities for children with a goal of enhancing their educational, social, and emotional growth
- Maintains effective communication and collaboration with administration, district of residence, and families concerning matters related to students in the program
- All other duties as assigned
- This position requires travel to early care and education sites in Summit and Portage Counties by personal vehicle and may require providing services in the child''s home - mileage reimbursement is available.
Salary: Salary schedule placement commensurate with experience and training.
