Position Summary:

Odyssey has an exciting opportunity for a Journeyman Item Manager supporting an Air Force acquisition mission within the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Armament Directorate Munitions Division (AFLCMC/EBU) at Robins Air Force Base, GA. This role manages the full lifecycle of Air Force inventory using advanced USAF supply, logistics, and accountability systems to acquire, track, redistribute, repair, transport, and properly dispose of assets while ensuring mission readiness and preventing supply‑driven downtime.

 

This is a full-time onsite position at Robins AFB, GA.

Responsibilities:

Duties include, but not limited to: 

  • Apply comprehensive knowledge of acquisition-to-disposal processes, automated records systems, material substitution, and compatibility criteria for small arms and related assets.
  • Manage worldwide inventory of USAF items throughout their lifecycle for assigned weapon systems and commodity groups.
  • Utilize in-depth understanding of Air Force accountable supply systems for both munitions and non-munition items.
  • Work extensively with USAF logistics databases and systems, which may include:
    D035A, D035K, Execution and Prioritization of Repair Support System (EXPRESS), D200C (ERRC S & U), D043, D143C, Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS), D200A, Stock Control System (SCS), Enterprise Solution–Supply (ES‑S), Theater Integrated Combat Munitions System (TICMS), Lean Depot Management System (LDMS), Agile Munitions Support Tool (AMST), and CIDS.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of Purchase Request Process System (PRPS) and Comprehensive Cost and Requirement System (CCaRS).
  • Manage multiple commodities within the same family group, including minimizing backorders, directing repairs, and overseeing movement of material.
  • Support DoD budgeting processes by determining funding requirements for assigned product lines.
  • Interface with end users to resolve item availability concerns while understanding operational environments and mission impacts.
  • Analyze inventory support postures to prevent weapon systems from becoming Not Mission Capable due to Supply (NMCS).
  • Execute demilitarization and disposal processes for obsolete or non‑repairable items and ensure proper removal from Air Force accountable records.
  • Manage transportation accounts, including:
    • Transportation Account Code (TAC) auditing
    • Shipment accountability and execution status
    • Budgeting, cost management, analysis, forecasting
    • Monthly billing review, charge validation, correction identification, and annual requirement projections
  • Initiate and assist with Purchasing Requests (PR), Project Orders (PO), Military Interdepartmental Purchase Requests (MIPRs), and repair budgeting actions.
  • Respond to inquiries from internal and external customers regarding asset status.
  • Review worldwide asset posture and initiate Redistribution Orders (RDOs) when applicable.
  • Monitor SCS workbaskets for excess, disposal, screening, or reclamation actions.
  • Utilize IT systems necessary to support all supply, logistics, transportation, and inventory functions.
Qualifications:

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

 

Minimum Required Qualifications

Clearance: Current Secret clearance

Years of Experience: Highschool diploma or equivalent and 4 years of relevant experience

 

Technical Skills

  • Demonstrated knowledge of DoD budgeting cycles and procurement processes.
  • Extensive experience with USAF supply and logistics systems, life cycle asset management, and Air Force‑specific databases.
  • Strong analytical skills related to inventory support, readiness impacts, and forecasting.
  • Ability to manage multiple commodities and complex global supply chains effectively.

Interpersonal Skills

  • Experience supporting operational stakeholders in fast‑paced, mission‑critical environments.
