IT Technician

Our client, a government agency specializing in election management and technology support, is seeking a short-term full-time IT Technician (June-November) to join their team. As an IT Technician, you will be part of the Information Technology department supporting election operations and technical infrastructure. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: IT Technician

Location: Melbourne, FL

Pay Range: $18.00 HR

Shift: 8:00AM - 4:30PM with Overtime

What's the Job?

• Perform skilled work installing, maintaining, and supporting voting equipment and IT hardware.
• Provide end-user support for desktop computers and network equipment in a Windows environment.
• Conduct quality control testing of voting equipment to ensure proper functionality.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to voting systems and desktop workstations.
• Support onsite IT needs at early voting sites during peak election periods, including long hours and weekends.

What's Needed?

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years of technical experience with Windows Operating Systems.
• At least three years of experience with MS Office Suite and desktop computer installation.
• Must be a registered voter in Florida and possess a valid Florida Driver’s License.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work flexible hours including weekends.
