Job Summary

Hardware Support:

• Provides support for installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of operating systems, software, peripherals, printers, copiers, and audio, video, and telecommunications equipment; assembles and disassembles PCs and components; and installs operating systems and software.
• Provides the highest level of customer service. Recommends resolution to customer inquiries or issues; maintains positive customer relations throughout the service request life cycle; and updates customers on the status of service requests.
• Maintains a necessary level of knowledge of emerging personal computer technologies; maintains thorough knowledge of PCs, iPads, tablets, audiovisual equipment, peripheral repairs and installation, printer sharing device installation, configuration, and standard County applications software; and shares knowledge with colleagues.
• Support Tier 1 and Tier 2 on-site installation, implementation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of desktops, laptops, printers, iPads, iPhones, and associated peripherals.

Software Support:

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for desktop operating systems and software applications (e.g., Active Directory, SCCM, Microsoft 365, Adobe Creative Cloud, TCP/IP, MDT, and business applications).
• Install, configure, and update software applications and patches to maintain compatibility, security, and performance.
• Assist users with software installation, activation, licensing, and compatibility issues.
• Provides customer service. (Recommends resolution to customer inquiries or issues; maintains positive customer relations throughout the service request life cycle; and updates customers on status of service requests.)
• May perform other essential job functions specific to the position and department assignment.

Remote Support:

• Offer remote troubleshooting assistance for desktop-related issues to users in distributed or remote locations.

We are seeking an individual with:

• Ability to organize and prioritize work with assistance.
• Ability to understand departmental programs, service policies, and procedures.
• Ability to follow complex verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers, management, and clients.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Hiring salary is commensurate with experience.

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent (associate degree preferred); two (2) years of related technical work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Requirements:

• Prefer experience in: SharePoint; Teams; OneDrive and ServiceNow software.
• Preferred Certifications: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Security +, Microsoft Certified Office Specialist, Microsoft Certified Desktop Administrator, or ITIL.

Job Contingencies and Special Requirements

Work Environment:

• It is an in-person work environment, with occasional telework available upon request.
• May be required to be on-call for emergency/crisis management (e.g., natural disasters, pandemics), and work 24/7 during such events.
• Lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
• Dynamic environment requiring adaptability to changing priorities and goals.

Post Conditional Offer Contingencies:

• Must pass a criminal background check; additional checks (e.g., fingerprinting, credit, DMV) may be required based on the assignment.
• Special requirements: A current driver's license and driving record check is required
