IT TechnicianPay: $20 per hour

The Opportunity
Our client is looking for a friendly, capable technician to join its support team. You'll be the first voice customers reach when they have a technology problem, helping them by phone, email, and chat and making sure each issue is resolved to their satisfaction. It's a hands-on position with a wide variety of technologies and a chance to learn from experienced colleagues.
What You'll Be Doing- Helping customers through phone, email, and chat with a warm, professional manner
- Supporting customer technology environments, including Microsoft 365, firewalls and network equipment, Windows servers and desktops, and Apple computers
- Making sure customers are happy with how their issues are resolved
- Opening and updating tickets so every issue and fix is clearly documented
- Connecting to customer machines with remote management tools and using automation for routine administration
- Joining meetings with technology vendors to work through support issues
- Taking part in projects as your experience and schedule allow
- Pitching in on other tasks, such as keeping IT work areas tidy
What You Bring- 1–2 years of service desk or help desk experience using a ticketing system
- Associate or bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field
- 1+ year supporting Windows servers, including Active Directory, file and storage services, and remote desktop services
- Experience installing and supporting Windows desktops, printers, and related equipment
- Experience configuring Outlook and other email clients through Exchange, IMAP, and SMTP
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, wireless networking, and internet troubleshooting
- Knowledge of data backup and recovery practices
- Strong critical thinking, organization, and attention to detail
- Excellent listening, empathy, and written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to support customers remotely, work independently, and juggle competing priorities
