Core Responsibilities of this position include: Provide onsite and remote technical support to end users, management, and business partners; assess support requirements, diagnose issues, and implement effective solutions. Deploy, configure, upgrade, and maintain workstations, laptops, mobile devices, network access equipment, peripherals, and video conferencing systems across regional and statewide office locations. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues, including operating system problems, application errors, hardware failures, memory upgrades, storage replacements, peripheral connectivity, and desktop application configuration. Respond to advanced and escalated help desk incidents, perform root-cause troubleshooting, document resolutions, and coordinate with specialized infrastructure, telecommunications, cybersecurity, and other technical teams when escalation is required. Perform technology refreshes, equipment replacements, system upgrades, and lifecycle maintenance to ensure field systems remain current, functional, and aligned with organizational standards. Research and assist with the procurement of hardware, software, and IT equipment; prepare technical specifications, evaluate solutions, and support purchasing decisions based on operational requirements. Consult with end users, management, vendors, and technical teams to identify technology requirements, resolve complex field issues, and improve the reliability and effectiveness of IT services. Manage IT assets throughout their lifecycle, including equipment tagging, assignment, transfer, delivery documentation, inventory reconciliation, and periodic physical inventories. Maintain accurate system documentation, equipment records, site information, network and architecture documentation, service logs, and records of daily field activities and completed work. Maintain awareness of emerging technology, cybersecurity requirements, security controls, industry standards, and organizational policies affecting field operations and endpoint support. Provide technical guidance and user education on hardware, software, security practices, and the effective use of IT resources. Support statewide and regional technology initiatives, deployments, relocations, office openings, and special projects requiring onsite technical expertise.
