IT Technical Product Owner

You've been around the block (in a good way), and you have the experience to back it up. You understand how to turn business goals into technology solutions, balancing what users want with what systems can realistically deliver. You've worked closely with stakeholders, engineers, vendors, and business leaders to bring products from idea to reality, and you know that successful products require equal parts strategy, technical judgment, and execution.

But what sets you apart isn't just what you know. It's how you show up. You ask thoughtful questions, challenge assumptions, and create clarity when things get complicated. You understand both the business and technical sides of the conversation and can confidently translate between the two. You're comfortable making difficult prioritization decisions, managing competing interests, and keeping teams focused on what matters most.

That's a big deal!

You'll serve as the bridge between business strategy and technical execution, helping transform organizational priorities into products, enhancements, and technology solutions that create measurable value. Your ability to align stakeholders, prioritize competing needs, and guide technology decisions will directly influence the experiences of both employees and members.

Here's what that looks like day to day:

• Define and execute product vision, strategy, and roadmaps for key technology platforms while aligning priorities with organizational goals
• Own and manage product backlogs, balancing feature requests, operational needs, technical debt, scalability, performance, and risk
• Partner with business leaders, technology teams, and third-party vendors to translate business objectives into technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Evaluate technical solutions, integrations, system architecture considerations, and platform capabilities to ensure reliable and scalable outcomes
• Use data, reporting, performance metrics, and testing results to inform decision-making, measure success, and continuously improve products and processes

Schedule: Monday-Friday during regular business hours at our Salt Lake City, Utah corporate headquarters.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience managing technology products through the full product lifecycle
• Strong understanding of software development principles, system architecture, APIs, integrations, and data pipelines
• Experience translating business needs into technical requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritized product backlogs
• Experience utilizing data analytics, reporting tools, product metrics, and performance data to support decision-making
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with business leaders, engineers, operational teams, and third-party partners
• Proven ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and maintain momentum in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with digital banking, lending, payments, treasury management, or other financial-services technology platforms
• Experience with Jack Henry Banno Digital Banking, Jack Henry Business Banking, Alkami Positive Pay, MeridianLink, LoanPro, Velera, Fedline, Quavo, ADP, Oak Tree Business Systems, FastDocs, or similar platforms
• Experience with Power BI, FiWyse, or comparable analytics platforms
• Community financial institution, FinTech, processor, or payments industry experience
• Coding proficiency or technical development experience
