Blessey Marine Services, Inc. owns and operates one of the youngest multi-faceted inland tank barge and vessel fleets in the United States.
We are in search of a IT Systems Engineer for our Harahan, LA location.
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
Install and maintain computer hardware, software, and networking technologies by performing the following duties.
SUPERVISION:
Reports to: Director of IT
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Note: All responsibilities listed apply to both “in house” and “motor vessel” systems.
· Verifyserverfunctionality,identifypotentialissues,andworkout solutions.
· Manageallserversincluding:
o Fileservices
o ActiveDirectory,includingDHCPandDNS
o Duoadministration
o GPOmanagementandimplementation
o Printingservices
o CitrixCloudandPremservicesadministration
o Office365 onlineadministrationandsupport
o Anti-Virus administration
o SAP on premise
· ReviewallsiteFirewalls.
· Reviewallsite-to-siteconnectivityandidentifyanomalies.
· Networkequipment managementincluding monitoringand troubleshootingissues.
· SIP phone system serveradministration.
o Troubleshootandrepairphoneswitches,servers,SBCs, telephones,andoverheadPA.
o Managecall routingincludingworkgroupandmenutree configuration.
QUALIFICATIONS:
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires driving a vehicle as necessary for errands and business-related meetings. Employee and/or applicant must successfully complete a Motor Vehicle History check and possess and maintain a current valid driver's license in their state of residence. Travel to vessels and extended out of town trips will be required.
