BlueWave is hiring an IT Systems Analyst for an aerospace organization based in Florida. As an IT Systems Analyst, you will support day-to-day IT operations through hardware deployment, system imaging, infrastructure monitoring, inventory management, and front-line technical support. This hands-on role requires the ability to work independently during weekend coverage and troubleshoot physical infrastructure, operating systems, and network connectivity.
Responsibilities
- Deploy networking, server, and desktop hardware
- Image systems and prepare devices for deployment
- Decommission systems and complete hardware-retirement activities
- Rack, cable, and configure servers, switches, and network equipment
- Monitor IT services and respond to incidents
- Inspect data centers and IT equipment rooms
- Provide front-line technical support to engineering users
- Process incoming equipment and audit spare inventory
- Maintain infrastructure documentation and network-port mappings
- Support cable management and hardware organization
Requirements
Core Qualifications
- Four or more years of IT systems administration or data-center technician experience
- Experience administering Windows or Linux systems
- Understanding of networking fundamentals and enterprise infrastructure
- Experience deploying and troubleshooting computing hardware
- Familiarity with enterprise directory environments
- Strong knowledge of physical network infrastructure and cabling practices
- Ability to troubleshoot physical connectivity, switch-port, and hardware issues
- Strong organizational, documentation, and customer-service skills
- Ability to work independently with limited day-to-day supervision
- Availability to work Friday through Monday on a four-day, 10-hour schedule
Preferred Qualifications
- Enterprise network administration experience
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, and NTP
- Experience with enterprise directory and endpoint-management tools
- Experience configuring switch ports, VLANs, or network interfaces
- PowerShell, Bash, or Python scripting experience
- Familiarity with infrastructure automation concepts
- DevOps or configuration-management experience
- Data-center, network-operations, or hardware-lab experience
Employment Type: 13-week contract with contract-to-hire potential, onsite in Florida; Friday through Monday, four 10-hour shifts per week
