IT Support Technician

Working under direct supervision, the IT Support Technician will help install and upgrade hardware and software, resolve routine technical issues, coordinate vendor support when needed, and contribute to system documentation and user training. This role focuses on maintaining and troubleshooting technology resources, supporting end users, and assisting with user account administration.

Overview
Client is seeking an IT Support Technician to provide hands-on support for computer systems, hardware, software, and peripherals. This role focuses on maintaining and troubleshooting technology resources, supporting end users, and assisting with user account administration.
Working under direct supervision, the IT Support Technician will help install and upgrade hardware and software, resolve routine technical issues, coordinate vendor support when needed, and contribute to system documentation and user training.

Core Responsibilities
• Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems, hardware, and computer peripherals.
• Document, maintain, upgrade, and replace hardware and software systems as needed.
• Support and maintain user account information, including rights, security settings, and system groups.
• Diagnose and resolve routine network, PC software, hardware, and peripheral issues.
• Coordinate with hardware and software vendors for service and support when necessary.
• Install computer hardware, software, and peripherals for new employees.
• Install software packages and perform software upgrades.
• Assist with password assignment and user access administration.
• Develop and maintain system documentation and procedural manuals as required.
• Facilitate and conduct training sessions for employees on software and hardware systems.

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies
• High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Preferred Skills or Experience
• Two-year degree or equivalent.
• General knowledge of a wide variety of software, hardware, and PC operating systems.

Work Details
• Stone Mountain, Georgia.
• Full-time onsite.
• Contract assignment through the end of the year, with potential extension based on business needs.
