Job Type: Full-time (Travel between plant locations when needed)

Experience: 2 years minimum

Reports to: IT Manager, no supervisory responsibility

Wage: $50,000 - $60,000 annually (based on experience and qualifications)

Job Summary:

The IT Support Specialist is a hands-on technical position responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting computer hardware, software, mobile devices, networking equipment, cameras, printers, and other technology used throughout Croell, Inc. This position provides both remote and on-site technical support and will travel to plant and office locations as needed to install equipment, diagnose issues, make repairs, and keep technology operating effectively. This position reports to the IT Manager and has no supervisory responsibility.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Resolve field technical issues and troubleshoot hardware and software for many different devices.
  • Help configure desktop software, thin clients and provide help desk support.
  • Follow strict privacy standards and regulations when it comes to handling customer or employee information.
  • Order computer equipment, ship and receive equipment and utilize asset tracking program.
  • Hardware skills include: IP camera, router, PC, printer, cell phone, and tablet setup or installation.
  • Assist with software security administration.
  • Follow maintenance protocols to ensure systems are secure, up-to-date, and reliable for users.
  • Professionally document, write and maintain IT procedures, processes, and policies.

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of IT support, computer hardware, technical support, or related experience preferred.

  • Hands-on experience installing, configuring, repairing, or troubleshooting computers and other technology equipment.

  • General understanding of computer hardware, Windows operating systems, mobile devices, printers, and network connectivity.

  • Comfortable using basic hand tools and physically installing or replacing technology equipment.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple technical issues.

  • Strong time-management and organizational skills.

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to accurately document work and equipment.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to professionally assist employees with varying levels of technical knowledge.

  • Ability and willingness to travel to company locations as needed.

  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. (I'd include this if they're driving between locations.)

  • Must consent to a pre-employment background check and drug test.
