IT Support Associate (Help Desk Technician)Pay: $65,000–$75,000 per year

Our client is seeking a dynamic, authentic professional to join their IT Support team as an
IT Support Associate (Help Desk Technician).
This opportunity may be a great fit if you have experience in active listening, providing friendly service, and demonstrating patience; excellent problem-solving skills and high attention to detail; and technology troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance.
About This Position
This role is responsible for providing computer hardware and software support to the end-user community. It also includes inventory management and equipment deployment, as well as assisting with procurement and invoicing.
Essential Job Functions
- Deliver end-user support for all LAN/WAN-based applications in a professional, courteous manner
- Document all support tickets and resolutions in the Help Desk system
- Configure workstations, printers, and other equipment to meet end-user needs
- Work a rotational night/weekend on-call schedule, responding to calls and contacting appropriate personnel in case of emergency
- Coordinate hardware and software procurement, invoicing, and inventory management, working with the IT team and existing vendors as appropriate
- Establish and maintain control of computer and software asset inventory
- Assist IT management with budget planning, input, and tracking
- Assist with special projects to add to or improve the technology suite as directed by IT Support management
Education/Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in an information technology-related field or equivalent experience required
- 6 years of relevant IT experience required
Skills/Knowledge
- Demonstrated experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining hardware and software
- Knowledge of current network system architectures and basic networking
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with comfort communicating with co-workers and management
- Proven ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects and meet strict deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cooperative team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Ability to participate in a rotational on-call schedule to provide support outside of normal business hours (evenings and weekends)
